After becoming CityCare Brisbane CEO in 2003, I established our Strategic Plan 2003- 2008, outlining 10 key areas that form the basis of ongoing growth.
Each year this is broken down into an operational and strategic plan, providing yardsticks of our performance.
One of our greatest assets continues to be our committed, multi-skilled, highly qualified and professional staff. Many have forgone highly paid corporate roles to see people in hardship benefit.
Likewise, our army of dedicated volunteers willingly shares an incredible knowledge and skills base, offering services we could not otherwise hope to provide.
Much of our work is made possible by the great generosity of our corporate and individual financial supporters.
We are actively developing partnerships with government, business and other community service agencies.
Our new facility at 156 Alfred Street, Fortitude Valley, gives us an accessible and visible location, housing a range of services. The redeveloped building contains:
• modern interview rooms
• computer laboratory
• literacy/numeracy, and training room
• multi-media area
• CityCare Technology showroom and refurbishment lab
• TLC training in shoe making, key cutting, repairs, engraving, etc
• Management and administration rooms |
