CityCare’s Community Employment Initiatives include Community Jobs Plan - Work Placement programs, job preparation and Work for the Dole programs.

Community Jobs Plan
Through the Queensland Government’s “Skilling Queenslanders for Work” initiative, our Community Jobs Plan - Work Placement Programs have assisted long-term unemployed participants in basic construction projects.  CityCare Brisbane is currently engaged in a construction project with 10 participants, over a 16-week work placement program.

Work for the Dole
Through various Community Work Coordinators, our Work for the Dole projects have trained long term unemployed participants in multiple industry categories such as: Computer Hardware Refurbishment, Hospitality and Catering, and leatherwork/key-cutting.
